1. Introduction

Think Menai Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data responsibly and transparently. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and your rights under UK data protection law.

2. Information we may collect

  • Contact information, including your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Account information, including login credentials, preferences and product access.
  • Payment and billing information. Card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on our website.
  • Website usage information, including IP address, browser type, pages visited and actions taken, where you consent to non-essential analytics or advertising technology.
  • Marketing preferences when you subscribe to emails or request a download.
  • Documents, text or other content you deliberately provide when using a service or tool.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

3. How we collect information

We collect information when you contact us, register for an account, buy a product or service, subscribe to marketing, use one of our tools or choose to allow non-essential website cookies.

4. Our lawful bases

Depending on the activity, we process information because it is necessary to perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate business interest or because you have given consent. Non-essential analytics, advertising cookies and email marketing rely on consent where required.

5. How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and deliver requested products or services.
  • To operate accounts, provide support and keep services secure.
  • To process payments and maintain financial records.
  • To send marketing where you have chosen to receive it.
  • To understand and improve website performance where you have allowed analytics.
  • To prevent misuse, diagnose problems and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

6. Service providers

We use selected suppliers to operate the business. Depending on the service and your choices, these may include Stripe for payments, SMTP2GO or another email provider, our hosting and backup providers, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel. These suppliers act under their own terms and data protection obligations. We review the services in use and aim to disclose material changes here.

7. Cookies and similar technology

Essential storage is used to remember your privacy choice and to support security, accounts or transactions. Analytics and advertising technology is not loaded on the main Think Menai website unless you select “Accept all”. You can reject non-essential cookies without losing access to the public website and can reopen the settings from the footer or this page.

Some account or payment services may set cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service you request.

8. Retention

  • Enquiry and client records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the relationship and meet legal obligations.
  • Account data is generally retained for the duration of the account and for an appropriate period afterwards.
  • Financial records are normally retained for at least six years.
  • Marketing details are retained until you unsubscribe or the information is no longer needed.
  • Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the settings of the relevant provider.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access your information, correct it, ask for deletion or restriction, object to processing, receive portable data and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise a right, email privacy@thinkmenai.com.

10. Security

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures including access controls, secure hosting and encrypted connections. No online system is completely risk free, so please do not send unnecessary sensitive information through a general enquiry form.

11. International transfers

Some suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we require an appropriate transfer mechanism or other recognised safeguard.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
